Hey, anybody know any good jokes? Maybe a funny story?

I dunno, anything'll do. I haven't had a good laugh in a while, and I get the feeling I'm not the only one. It can be important sometimes, y'know? Can't be serious all the time, you'll go crazy.

I agree.. After all, it's much better to all laugh together to spend the time, right?

Um, as to a joke.. oh, I know! What do you think is heavier, a full moon or a half moon?

I feel like the rest of us should be worried whenever you get bored.

Exactly! That's my thoughts anyway.

Hmmmm... I'll say a full moon.

A Rear Admiral was newly arrived to a jungle island and he decided he desperately wanted a pair of alligator shoes, but the price was always out of his league. After becoming very frustrated with the "no haggle" attitude of one of the shopkeepers, the office shouted, "Maybe I'll just go out and get my own alligator so I can get a pair of shoes made at a reasonable price!"

The vendor said, "By all means, be my guest. Maybe you will run into a couple of Marines who were in here earlier saying the same thing."

So the rear admiral headed into the river that same day and a few hours later came upon two men standing waist deep in the water. He thought, "Those must be the two Marines the guy in town was talking about." Just then, the Officer saw a tremendously long gator swimming rapidly underwater towards one of the Marines.

Just as the gator was about to attack, the Marine grabbed its neck with both hands and strangled it to death with very little effort. Then both Marines dragged it on shore and flipped it on its back. Laying nearby were several more of the creatures.

One of the Marines then exclaimed, "Damn, this one doesn't have any shoes either!"

Ehehe, no! It's actually the half moon that is heavier, because the full moon is lighter!

[ She giggles a little - apparently she thinks it's a good joke. ]

[She listens to the joke patiently, particularly interested in the suggestion that these "Marines" could just strangle a gator so easily.

The punchline actually does get a good laugh out of her.]

I like it! Where'd ya hear that one?

... Wow, I can't believe I missed that. Nice one!

[She's not laughing, but she does give a smile.]

[ Her giggle turns a bit more awkward. ]

Hmm, I guess that one wasn't really that funny after all then, huh.. Maybe I should think up a better one..

Heh. It's an old one really. A staple in the academy.

Well... it wasn't bad.

Maybe I should do one next, to even things out. We can make a game out of it, see who can make the other laugh more.

Yeah, I can see that. It kinda sounded like one of those jokes that gets passed down a lot.

I'm guessing you mean a military academy?

Ah, a game sounds nice! And if it's to make each other laugh, it could only be good, so.. it sounds like a good idea to me.

Marine academy, right. Well, it's for officers, not all marines, but that's what it's called.
