[Slapped to the door of the clothing store is a note.  It's not a very remarkable note, even if the text is a bit on the large side.  But it's a note on a door, so most people will probably stop to read it.

This is what they will see.]

[Sniffles.] I'm sorry! I-I was going to tell you one day... [Wipes at her face] When the time was right... w-when everything was okay again... but now it's all ruined and I...!

[She's crying. Lloyd can't stand that. He puts his hands on either side of her face to gently wipe away the tears.]

Colette, don't cry. It's not ruined. Actually it's made me realize that I've just been acting stupid.

[he looks away a little, face still red]

It took me a long time to figure it out, but when you're away I just keep thinking about you, and when you're hurt or in trouble... [he can't finish that.]

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is ...I love you, Colette.

[...That's the sound of Colette's heart stopping. She just looks at him for a moment before hugging him again.]

...Me too. [Sniffles] You're not stupid... you never were.

[She freezes a little. Then she hugs him tighter.]

...I hurt you... [chokes back a small sob.] I hurt you so much... I-I knew you loved me but then I... I left you alone... [Buries her head in hist shirt] I'm sorry... I'm so sorry...!

Colette... [oh man he's just making it worse. He rests one hand on her back and the other in her hair.] Colette, it's okay. You're here now, and I know you'll be there when we get home.

[Sobs a little bit.]

I don't want to leave you ever again... you were gone so long back home... a-and I left you here so many times... [Hiccup sob] I don't care if I can't go home right now... don't let them take me away again, Lloyd...

I promise, Colette. I'm not going to let them take you or anyone else anymore. We're all going home together this time.

[She sniffles a little more, then looks back up at him, her eyes swollen... but she seems happier.]

Thank you, Lloyd. We won't let them keep us away from each other ever again... will we?

[He stares down at her for a minute... and... oh heck. He gives her another kiss, brief and chaste before pulling back again and blushing even more brightly than before.]
