25th Flight: [Voice]

So, I've been thinking a little recently, and I've got two questions for anyone who can answer 'em.

First off, is there a map of Luceti drawn up somewhere?

Second's kinda pointless if the answer to the first is "yes", but in case it's not... anyone else think we should make one? I mean, I'm no mapmaker but I'm sure we've got somebody who could do it here, and we've got plenty of fliers to get them around quick and easy, so why not?

Assuming, of course, that there isn't one already that I've just missed.

Of course, the big problem is that even with the maps, it doesn't help you pinpoint where you are in the forest in relation to everything else when the Malnosso drop people off.

True, but it does give you a bit of an idea, especially if you can orient yourself. With a bit of help from the people here, it might make a difference.

Possibly, though that kind of help is already offered usually.

Yeah, that's one of those things I like about this place, no matter how many downsides it's got.

Hah, really? I can't even imagine people trying to do that for new people in the New World where I'm from. It's certainly different, eh.

That's just what I mean. Back home, if a new person wanders into town they're usually left to their own devices. Here there's no chance of that happening.

Granted, it's probably because everyone remembers how lousy it was for them when they showed up, but still, the point stands.

Aye. Plus, back home, I don't think anyone gets randomly kidnapped in the middle of sleep and thrown into some new world without warning. Though it is a little like the slave kidnappings come to thing. Minus the collars though and replace with fake wings.

Slave kidnappings?

[She's not sure she wants to know, but she can hardly ignore a statement like that.]

Something that happens in my world. My Pops tried to fight it and protect islands from having that happen to them.

Ugh... I've seen a lot of nastiness in my lifetime, but that's just plain sick.

Aye. It's hard to find any redeeming qualities in slavers.

And the comparison to the Malnosso is pretty apt... it's just the use they put us to that's different.

True. Besides, death isn't even permanent with them around. For better or worse.
