[As Luceti's populace struggles with attempts to sort out messed-up memories and personality warpings, some of the residents are combating more... mundane problems.

The journal flops open to reveal a panicked Arche fussing with something in a pan.]

Come on, don't you burn on me... Oh crap!

[She jumps over to another pan, reaching for it... and completely forgetting to grab an oven mitt as she does so.]

Yeowch! [And, of course, she drops it, the contents spilling all over the floor. She slips on them, falling out of sight of the journal, and then clambers back up to turn off the stove. She looks at the results of her endeavors.]

... Dammit, why does this always happen. Every time I try to cook... [She sighs, turning around.] Where's Mint when I need-

[She cuts off as she notices the journal open... and recording.] Oh hell, how long has this thing been on?

[...He should have known that'd get out eventually. Grune tends to keep the kitchen on his floor of CH3 well-stocked enough that he never really has to actually cook anything.

...Apples? [Dhaos does not understand what kind of food requires cooking apples on a stove.]

... I was boiling them, to soften them up for applesauce.

[... There's something resembling logic in that sentence.]

Have you tried asking for help from anyone else in the village? [Eyes, take your own advice.]

Don't worry. There have been worse chefs trust me. Maybe you just need a new perspective and a helping hand! Burning happens to everyone.

[The feed ends there as Sakura closes her journal. And that's going to be her third trip to the grocery in a week - not that she minded, but people were probably going to start thinking she wants to gain weight.

While at the grocery though, she takes the liberty of getting some vegetables. Hopefully this isn't minded? At least it doesn't take long before she's knocking on the door to house thirteen.]

Ahh, okay! At least you still have enough apples left over.

[..hmmm.] Was there a specific recipe you were trying to follow?

What? Oh, no, no, not me specifically. I meant in general, the journals seem to somehow get opened when people might not really want them to.

Hey, you're the one I was talking to over the journals... And I just realized I never got your name. [She laughs a bit as she waves Sakura inside.] Sorry about that. I'm Arche for the record.

A-ah, I see... I suppose that means we found the root of the problem...

But ah, that's fine! I happen to know of a few applesauce recipes, so we could just use one of those.

[ . . . ]

Just don't try to copy any potion recipes mentioned in it. You might actually kill someone.

It's alright, I wasn't thinking to ask either. [Have a small laugh.] I'm Sakura. It's nice to meet you, Arche.

[Her shoes come off at the door, where she slides them out of the way, then proceeds to hold the bag up.]

I hope you don't mind, but I got some carrots and broccoli too.
