It's pouring, it's pouring... man I hope there aren't too many new feathers arriving today. Can you imagine?

So, people I know! Gimme an update. I can't come see ya right now (or at least it'll take me way longer than usual), but I wanna know how you're all doing. That means you, Genis, Klarth, Stella... well heck, you know who you are. Talk to me!

Yeah, that's why I hope there aren't too many of them today. A bunch of sick new feathers on top of the rest of this crap? Ugh.

She's okay. Bit on the tired side, but I guess that's since she was healing me nonstop for a while, there. But there are feathers all over the house... Dunno why though.

Huh, I still haven't found out what's been going on, though. Being stuck in bed sucks.

Ah. Well I better run the story by you then. See, a bunch of people started having their wings grow out all over the place. We're talking huge, here. They ended up kinda... bonded to the spirits, the ones with the big wings. Something like a possession.

Now that it's over, and the wings are going back to normal, everyone who that happened to is starting to get sick.

Looks like I missed one of the weirder experiments, then. Possession? Wow.

I see... That must be why Raine's been acting the way she has. [Sigh]

Yeah, it got pretty wild. [And she hasn't even mentioned the things the Malnossso did in response.]

The way she has? What, she being overprotective or something?

Wild... [pause] There's someone I know; he said - he said he died, Arche.

Can't really remember, but she was acting a bit different... Overprotective's one way to put it, I guess. Her wings got huge, though, so I guess she was possessed?

Oh... [She winces.] I was hoping you hadn't gotten to that part yet.

Here's the thing, kiddo. The Malnosso didn't do this... the possession thing. They didn't do it, and they didn't like it. They wanted us to kill the possessed. Even gave us all of our powers back so we could do it. And when we didn't listen... they started killing 'em off themselves.

Yeah. Knowing your sister, it was probably the healing spirit.

He's okay now, so it's fine. Still, though - he's back, and that in itself is weird.

They made you do their dirty work? That's - that's low.

But it wasn't intentional? The - spirits, the possessions? Sounds like things went out of control, even for them.

Wait, if the Malnosso didn't do it - who did, then?

Yeah, well... people come back, y'know.

Nobody really knows who was behind it. Some suspect it was the spirits themselves. Other people think it just happens naturally without the barrier, or when something happens to it. I dunno what to think, myself. But the point is, it happened, and they couldn't control it, so they decided the possessed people needed to die.

Ended up figuring out another way though, thank Martel...
