16th Flight: [Action]

[It is probably none too surprising that most of the trees in Luceti now have snow-covered branches.

However, a few observant folks might notice that not all of the snow appears undisturbed...

Arche snickers as she places the last of her snowball piles in the boughs of Luceti's trees.] Perfect. Now everything's set up.

[She is now going to fly around the village, looking for people out and about who might prove amusing targets. She's got snowballs stashed pretty much everywhere, so the only question is: Are you going to be one of her victims?]

[Now that's interesting. Finally reaching conversation distance with the little one, Arche speaks up.]

Somebody call for a mage?

[Miya jumps up a good few inches, startled, and turns around. She puffs a little, bouncing furiously up and down, and flails.]

It's not nice to sneak up on people!! What if I turned my blade on you by mistake!? [She blinks and tilts her head a second later, though.] Wait, you're a mage person?

Then I'd dodge. [She smirks.] Darn right I am! Arche Klaine, Sorceress Supreme!

[Miya's eyes narrow. Was that a challenge?] Can you dodge wind that can upturn even the largest boulder? Ice so cold it can freeze the very soul itself? Or flames that burn with the intensity of our brilliant Sun? Or perhaps dodge a skill that can cleave through all matter. Mine is no ordinary blade! [Boasting? You bet she is. :|b But her attitude change in a second. One track mind go!]

Oh, Raven told me about people like you kind of. Can you shrink my scro--Journal thingy for me? It's really heavy and I can't carry it around. And I don't think these shops sell Astral Pouches...

[She lifts an eyebrow.] You realize none of those make it harder to dodge, right? Just worse effects if you fail to.

Shrink it? Hmmm, I should be able to pull that off...

[And the first bit blows waaay over her tiny head, yup. She just wants this stupid book smaller so she can actually, you know, carry it. Miya hops around happily, aura glowing all the more intense.]

Yay! Thank you so much, Miss Mage! Do I need to do anything? {She'll be pushing the journal, with difficulty, over the snow and closer to the pink haired witch.]

No, no, just wait a minute while I take care of this.

[Kneeling by the journal, she slaps her hands out above it and closes her eyes to concentrate. A dim glow emanates from her as she draws in mana to cast her spell, and...

The book bursts into flame.]

[Miya squeaks and falls backwards onto her rear. She flails furious and--ohgods, ohgods!! Good thing she had Sumomo, or this'd be a lot harder. She swishes the brush and draws a loop-de-loop with her brush, praying hard to the wind god to make it work. That Skill wasn't one she knew well. Fortunately enough, the Skill works; a heavy wind blowing the flames away from her journal. Phew, that was close. It wasn't destroyed, at least. Charred, maybe.

Miya howls with fury, jumping to her absolute highest and waving the sword around furiously, aura a burning red.]

YOU ALMOST DESTROYED MY JOURNAL!! I KNEW I SHOULDN'T HAVE TRUSTED SOME STRANGER! I'm just better off searching for an Astral Pouch! [Miya huffs, looking at her smoking Journal. Ohh... if only she knew Rejuvenation! She could easily fix it... But, alas, the Dragon's skill was difficult to master for any poncle, let alone one like her.]

[And in response to Miya's flailing and screaming at her, Arche... laughs?]

Brush it off.

[Miya's about to scream at her again, but does as she's told, mostly out of innocent curiosity. She hops over to the blackened journal and begins to wipe away the burnt parts. When she realizes she's getting her arms black with soot and cinders, she repeats the brush skill from before. It's weaker this time, only a light breeze. Miya sighs, she really wasn't good with that skill, but peeks at her Journal.]

...?

[There, underneath all the soot and ashes, is a journal that's significantly smaller than the one she started off with.]

See? The fire was just a side effect.

[Miya stares. And stares... And stares. After a long while, she squeals with delight, hopping up to her now perfectly sized journal and holds it up almost fondly, spinning around. Finally! Now she could actually explore without hauling around that heavy thing!

Miya positively glows. Literally. her aura blazes brightly and she leafs through the pages. All in tact~ She bounded her way to the mage and bowed low, to show her thanks and respect, head bowed low to where it was almost touching the cold snow.]

Thank you very, very much. I'm sorry I yelled at you and called you names. If there's anything I can do to repay you, Miss Mage...!
